Theodosis Giannakdis

I began photographing my city Alexandroupolis located in Northern Greece, at the beginning of ‘90s . Having a closer look at the images that I was taking I realized the complexity and multiculturalism of the greater area of Thrace. The northern part today in Bulgaria lots of decades in the communist isolation, the eastern part today in Turkey reserving the charmers of an old world and the Greek part of Thrace with different cultural groups sometime isolated from the rest of Greece. This is part of my work referring mostly to this area
